Key Responsibilities
Technical Review & CoordinationBlueprint Architecture: Conduct rigorous technical reviews of MEP shop drawings, material submittals, contract documents, and method statements prior to field execution.Interdisciplinary Synthesis: Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing workflows seamlessly with civil, structural, and architectural teams to avoid structural conflicts.Clash Resolution: Actively identify and resolve technical design clashes on-site, utilizing AutoCAD or collaborating with BIM teams to keep installations moving.Site Supervision & Quality ControlProgress Verification: Monitor daily site execution velocity, ensuring all subcontractor installations precisely match approved specifications and project standards.Rigorous Inspections: Lead formal site inspections and comprehensive quality checks ($QA/QC$) to verify structural alignment and catch defects early.Code Compliance: Maintain strict oversight to ensure all HVAC, electrical distribution, and drainage systems comply fully with local utility codes and municipal building regulations.Project Management & CommissioningDocumentation & Reporting: Author accurate daily/weekly project progress reports, maintain meticulous on-site engineering logs, and track material inventories.Testing & Handover: Support and witness critical testing, pre-commissioning, and final balancing/commissioning activities to ensure a flawless system handover to the client.HSE Governance: Enforce absolute compliance with health, safety, and environmental ($HSE$) protocols across all active MEP working zones.
Requirements
Education & Field Tenure
Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related construction engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of solid, hands-on experience directly managing multi-discipline MEP construction projects.
Technical & Software Mastery
Domain Expertise: Comprehensive, practical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, low-voltage power distribution, plumbing/firefighting layout configurations, and balancing mechanics.
Software Literacy: High proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
BIM Edge: Working knowledge or familiarity with Building Information Modeling software (Revit MEP) is considered a major competitive advantage.
Commissioning Acumen: Clear, demonstrated understanding of specialized mechanical testing, pipe pressure testing, and electrical insulation resistance testing protocols.
