Key Responsibilities
Transactional Management: Prepare accurate invoices, manage comprehensive accounts receivable and payable ledgers, and maintain persistent follow-up protocols for outstanding payments.
Tax Compliance: Execute error-free, timely, and compliant quarterly VAT filings in accordance with Bahrain’s National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) regulations.
Financial Ledger Maintenance: Gather, compile, and systematically organize raw financial data, sub-ledgers, and transactional records.
Closing Operations: Independently execute precise monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year-end financial closings.
Analysis & Budgeting: Consolidate complex financial statements, prepare corporate budgets, monitor operational expenditures, and perform variance analysis.
Cash Flow & Procurement Support: Assist the General Manager in forecasting cash flows and reviewing financial terms within active procurement contracts for goods and services.
Risk & Audit Governance: Analyze corporate data to identify financial risks, build predictive forecasts, and seamlessly oversee external audit processes.
Operational Control: Conduct daily operational controls and manage all associated financial documentation and audit trails.
Requirements
Interview & Location Constraints
Interview Availability: Must be physically located in or able to travel to Bahrain for a mandatory Face-to-Face interview.
Experience & Industry Domain
Industry Sector: Previous accounting experience within the Shipping, Logistics, or Maritime industry is highly preferred and will be given immediate priority.
Taxation Expertise: Demonstrated, hands-on experience handling end-to-end corporate VAT filing cycles within the GCC.
Technical & Functional Competencies
Deep understanding of general ledger accounting, financial statement consolidation, and cash flow analysis.
Strong proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and internal risk assessment protocols.
High organizational capability to manage extensive physical and digital documentation work.
Advanced analytical skills with a precise, error-free approach to numbers and compliance.
