Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
Financial Blueprinting: Lead the preparation of annual Budgets, rolling Forecasts, and the company's 5-Year Strategic Plan, encompassing detailed Profit & Loss statements by Line of Business (LoB), Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow projections.
Predictive Modeling: Create, scale, and maintain sophisticated financial forecasting models to seamlessly capture new business developments and strict Group requirements.
Variance Analysis: Conduct deep-dive trend analysis of actual monthly performance versus Budget, integrating key findings into long-term strategic plans.
Capital & Solvency Management: Compute, analyze, and project regulatory solvency requirements and future dividend capacity.
M&A and Investment Advisory: Evaluate corporate business plans, strategic partnerships, and potential Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to determine profitability and long-term viability.
Operational & Technical Execution
Business Intelligence Dashboards: Collaborate with IT and Data teams to design and implement automated performance reporting dashboards from various operational data sources.
Commission Governance: Provision and review all non-standard commission payments to intermediaries, ensuring rigorous compliance before securing CFO approval.
Financial Closing & Reporting: Extract and adjust critical financial data to support the monthly financial closing process and quarterly Group reporting workflows.
Market Intelligence: Compile and benchmark competitive insurance market data gathered from industry regulators and competitor financial statements.
Requirements
Education: University graduate with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative field with strong academic credentials.
Professional Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a corporate business planning, strategic planning, financial analysis, or financial advisory role.
Advanced Modeling Skills: Advanced mastery of MS Excel, financial modeling, and data manipulation. Proven experience utilizing macros, report automation, and dashboard generation tools is required.
Financial Expertise: Advanced command of corporate accounting principles and a deep understanding of the key drivers behind business performance and financial health.
Analytical Mindset: Exceptional ability to translate large datasets into high-level summary reports and strategic narratives for senior leadership.
