Key Responsibilities
Transaction & Commercial Support: Conduct in-depth legal research to provide comprehensive advice on complex commercial matters and business transactions.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and lead the negotiation of a wide array of contracts, service agreements, and specialized legal documentation.
Risk Management & Compliance: Identify potential legal exposure across the business; develop and implement robust strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
Regulatory Advocacy: Support business units in communicating with government authorities and industry associations to foster a business-friendly regulatory environment.
Dispute Resolution: Represent the company’s interests in litigations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings, as well as during high-stakes settlement negotiations.
Management Liaison: Partner closely with executive leadership and internal departments to ensure all operational requirements are legally sound.
External Counsel Governance: Build and manage a high-quality resource pool of external law firms, maintaining strong relationships with specialized legal advisors.
Landscape Monitoring: Stay ahead of changes in the regional legal landscape and industry trends to provide proactive strategic updates.
Requirements
Core Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience specifically within the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Expertise: Mastery of Bahraini Corporate, Contract, and Commercial Law.
Linguistic Skills: Native-level Arabic with fluent, professional English proficiency (both written and spoken).
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of managing high-pressure projects with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Diverse Background: Experience spanning law firms, in-house roles, and government or judicial institutions (Courts/Prosecution).
International Exposure: Overseas education from an English-speaking country or experience advising multinational companies.
