Key Responsibilities

Instructional Excellence: Deliver high-quality lectures on core topics such as Software Architecture, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Cloud Computing. Curriculum Innovation: Design and update course materials to include current industry trends, such as Microservices, AI integration, and Cybersecurity in software design. Lab & Project Supervision: Lead practical laboratory sessions and supervise undergraduate/postgraduate capstone projects, focusing on full-stack development and system design. Assessment & Quality Assurance: Create, invigilate, and grade examinations and coding assignments; provide detailed feedback to support student technical growth. Student Mentorship: Provide academic and career advising, helping students navigate internships, certifications, and graduate school applications. Applied Research: Conduct research in software engineering practices, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and collaborate on interdisciplinary tech projects. Institutional Service: Participate in faculty meetings, accreditation processes (such as ABET), and departmental committees to improve academic quality.

Requirements

Education: Master’s Degree or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a recognized institution. Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript) and modern frameworks. Industry Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally combining university-level teaching with professional software development experience. Methodological Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), version control (Git), and automated testing. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to students with varying levels of prior knowledge. LMS Proficiency: Experience using Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas, Moodle) to manage course content and track student performance.
