Interior Designer / Site Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution: Lead day-to-day on-site activities, ensuring all works strictly adhere to interior fit-out drawings and localized detailed designs. Quality Control (QC): Perform rigorous inspections of all workmanship; identify and rectify defects, deficiencies, or deviations from the design intent immediately. Scheduling & Timeline: Monitor project milestones to ensure all tasks are completed according to the established project timeline. Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the central communication hub between management, interior designers, clients, and various contractors. Trade Management: Coordinate specialized subcontractors, including carpenters, painters, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) teams. Material Management: Organize and track material deliveries, monitor on-site inventory, and ensure resources are available when needed. Safety & Compliance: Enforce site safety regulations, maintain a clean workspace, and ensure all personnel utilize required protective equipment. Reporting: Document site progress through daily or weekly reports, supported by progress photography, for management and client review.

Requirements

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of architectural drawings, joinery details, and the integration of MEP systems within interior spaces. Experience: Proven experience (typically 3–5 years) specifically in interior fit-outs, residential/commercial construction, or a similar supervisory role. Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and AutoCAD for the verification and interpretation of site drawings. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a diverse team of laborers and specialized contractors under pressure. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaison with high-end clients, designers, and vendors. Education: A Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Civil Engineering is preferred, though significant hands-on experience is highly valued.
