Key Responsibilities
Consult with clients to identify their objectives, stylistic preferences, and functional requirements for interior spaces.
Work closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to define space functionality, layout efficiency, and overall design direction.
Evaluate spatial requirements, circulation patterns, and user interaction to enhance practicality and comfort.
Create concept boards, mood presentations, and design proposals that clearly communicate the creative vision.
Advise clients on the selection of materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and decorative elements consistent with the approved concept.
Utilize professional design software to generate detailed drawings, space plans, 3D visualizations, and comprehensive presentation packages.
Prepare project timelines and preliminary cost estimates, outlining realistic schedules and budget expectations.
Coordinate sourcing and procurement of materials and furnishings while ensuring compliance with approved designs and financial constraints.
Supervise on-site installation and styling to verify that execution aligns with design specifications and quality standards.
Conduct project handover meetings, review completed works with clients, and manage any final adjustments or refinements.
Stay updated on emerging trends, innovative materials, and new technologies within the interior design industry.
Requirements
Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Creative design aptitude with the capability to deliver aesthetically pleasing and highly functional interior environments.
Sound understanding of composition principles, including balance, proportion, scale, and spatial coordination.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client and team interaction.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard productivity tools.
Hands-on experience with industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, Lumion, Revit Architecture, and similar applications.
Basic knowledge of building regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements related to interior fit-out works.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a closely related discipline.
2–3 years of professional experience in an interior design role.
