Key Responsibilities
Safety Planning: Develop and monitor HSE plans, including RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) and Permit-to-Work systems.
On-Site Enforcement: Conduct daily site inspections and "Toolbox Talks" (short safety briefings) for workers.
Hazard Management: Identify and control high-risk construction activities:
Working at height & Scaffolding.
Excavation and Lifting operations.
Formwork and PPE usage.
Subcontractor Oversight: Ensure that third-party contractors follow the same strict safety rules as the main company.
Incident Investigation: Lead the investigation into "near misses" and accidents; prepare detailed reports and suggest ways to prevent them from happening again.
Documentation: Maintain all safety registers, training records, and accident statistics for audits and authority inspections.
Requirements
Experience: 3–7 years of experience specifically in building construction projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety.
Mandatory Certifications: You must hold recognized safety credentials, specifically NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or OSHA.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of local Bahraini HSE regulations and international safety standards.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, the ability to communicate with diverse labor teams, and high attention to detail.
