Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Evaluation: Conduct detailed market research to identify suppliers; lead the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process and perform commercial evaluations.
Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire procurement cycle from issuing Purchase Requests (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) to tracking order acknowledgments and ensuring timely delivery.
Financial Optimization: Verify invoices against PO terms, follow up on vendor payments, and negotiate better payment terms to improve the company’s Cash Conversion Cycle (CCC).
Compliance: Ensure all activities meet internal audit requirements, legal standards, and local content programs (like IKTVA in Saudi Arabia or ICV in the UAE).
Performance Monitoring: Evaluate supplier quality and service levels; resolve performance issues and provide support for urgent/emergency "on-the-ground" purchases.
Requirements
Experience: 7–10 years of procurement experience, specifically within the Oil & Gas, Power, or Water industries.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or an Engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical).
Technical Skills: * Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is essential.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel for cost comparisons, PowerPoint for stakeholder updates).
Specialized Knowledge: Understanding of Incoterms, logistics, and local content compliance frameworks (IKTVA/ICV).
Soft Skills: Strong and confident negotiation abilities, excellent analytical problem-solving, and the ability to work under high pressure to meet critical deadlines.
